DESCRIPTION:The San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us run our River Field Trip Education Programs. If you're interested in bringing youth together with nature by becoming an Education Docent\, join us at this training to learn more about our upcoming field trip programs! This training introduces Education Docents to the Madera Unified 6th Grade education program offered by the River Parkway Trust and prepares them to lead field trips at the River Center. Every MUSD 6th grade classroom will participate in this type of field trip between October-December 2019. Trips typically take place between 8:30 am - 1 pm\, Tu-Th. Topics will include: Brief program overview and orientation Leading a field trip and group management Demonstrations of field trip activities How to set up a field trip Leading a nature walk
