The Camp Sunshine event, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, is open to children 5 to 18 years old who have experienced a significant change due to death, divorce, separation or abandonment. The event will take place at the Saint Agnes Medical Center, inside the north wing Shehadey Pavilion, at 1303 E. Herndon Ave. in Fresno. Participants will get creative with special art instruction lead by local art studio instructors from "The Artist in Me;" exercise with Rho Fit; spend time reflecting in the outdoor labyrinth and meditation garden; and interact with four-legged friends from pet therapy programs Saint Agnes Heavenly Hounds and Heart of the Horse Therapy Ranch. There will also be a grief support group for parents and caregivers, and a healthy breakfast and lunch will be provided.
