Speaker Tim Geddert\, Ph.D.\, emeritus professor of New Testament at Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary\, will give three presentations:   "Mark: The Most Misunderstood Gospel\," 6:00 p.m. Thursday\, March 21\, 2024\, Theissen Conference Room (WEC114) and Courtyard\, main FPU campus\, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave.\, Fresno. Dessert reception included. Admission free.   "Following Jesus for All Its Worth!" 10:00 a.m. Friday\, March 22\, 2024\, in BC Lounge (NOH132)\, main FPU campus\, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave.\, Fresno. Admission free.   "Jesus on the World Stage: The Passion Drama in Four Acts\," lecture and luncheon Saturday\, March 23\, 2023\, at North Fresno Church\, 5724 N. Fresno St. Fresno. Admission free\; RSVP required. o 9:30 a.m. | Welcome/registration o 10:00 a.m. | Interactive lecture o 11:30 a.m. | Free luncheon A native of Canada\, Tim Geddert studied there\, the U.S. and Scotland and did church work in Canada and Germany. He has written numerous books in English and German and worked with churches and schools in many countries. His primary ministry has been teaching New Testament at Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary from 1986 through 2023. The Gospel of Mark has been his special companion through all those years. The Edmund Janzen Lectureship in Biblical Studies promotes care ful scholarship in biblical interpretation as well as the witness of the Christian church. The lectureship is made possible through an endowment honoring the 35 years Edmund Janzen served FPU as president and faculty member.
