This year's Pulling Strings event is adjusting to the times we are living in. On Saturday, Oct. 3, Chef and UCPCC board Vice President Keith Allen and his wife, former ABC30 news anchor Liz Harrison, will be creating a three-course meal that can be picked up for takeout at our Arts and Technology Center, 4224 N. Cedar Ave., Fresno, from 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. The meal includes Allen's famous stuffed New York steak for two topped with mushrooms; Ensalada de Choclo, a salad of carmelized corn with spinach, roasted bell pepper, jalapeno, garlic and red onion in a lime and honey sauce; sides of roasted rosemary garlic potatoes and seasonal Italian squash medley; and cannoli from Famous Ray's Northside Deli for dessert. The price of dinner is $35 per person; $60 for two people; and an additional $20 if you would like to add a chef's choice of wine. To purchase tickets, visit www.ucpcc.org/pulling-strings or call (559) 221-8272 by Sept. 21.
