Event Description:
The San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us run our River Field Trip Education Programs. If you’re interested in bringing youth together with nature by becoming an Education Docent, join us at this training to learn more about our upcoming field trip programs! This training introduces Education Docents to the various educational programs offered by the River Parkway Trust and prepares them to lead field trips at the River Center and Lost Lake Park. Field trips are typically 1st-5th grades, and take place from 9 am- 1 pm on weekdays. Topics will include: Brief program overview and orientation Leading a field trip and group management Demonstrations of field trip activities How to set up a field trip Leading a nature walk
